Now remember, I love the cast, they were amazing. I just hate the show, so here's an excerpt from my paper (I said amazing things about the cast, don't worry, guys.)
The plot, deliciously devoid of character development of any kind, is simply this: Laurey owns a farm with Aunt Eller. Aunt Eller seems to be everyone’s aunt and the audience comes to accept this, seeing as how it’s understandable that everyone is probably related. Curley is a cowboy. Laurey loves Curley. Jud is a farmhand. Jud loves Laurey. No one loves Jud. Ado Annie is Laurey’s best friend. Will Parker loves Ado Annie. Ali Hakim loves Ado Annie. Everyone in the town has most likely "loved" Ado Annie at one point or another (as delightfully explained in the song “I Cain’t Say No”). At Curley and Laurey’s wedding, Jud picks a fight with Curley and falls upon his own knife. Nobody cares and they all sing a song about the state they live in.
