i'm writing a paper on the show and had to share this

Now remember, I love the cast, they were amazing. I just hate the show, so here's an excerpt from my paper (I said amazing things about the cast, don't worry, guys.)

The plot, deliciously devoid of character development of any kind, is simply this: Laurey owns a farm with Aunt Eller. Aunt Eller seems to be everyone’s aunt and the audience comes to accept this, seeing as how it’s understandable that everyone is probably related. Curley is a cowboy. Laurey loves Curley. Jud is a farmhand. Jud loves Laurey. No one loves Jud. Ado Annie is Laurey’s best friend. Will Parker loves Ado Annie. Ali Hakim loves Ado Annie. Everyone in the town has most likely "loved" Ado Annie at one point or another (as delightfully explained in the song “I Cain’t Say No”). At Curley and Laurey’s wedding, Jud picks a fight with Curley and falls upon his own knife. Nobody cares and they all sing a song about the state they live in.

END SCENE

my current music is "It's Dangerous Business Walking Out Your Front Door" by Underoath

Instructions: List seven songs you are into right now. No matter what the genre, whether they have words, or even if they're any good, but they must be songs you're really enjoying now. Post these instructions in your Livejournal along with your seven songs. Then tag seven other people to see what they're listening to.

1. "We Laugh Indoors" by Death Cab for Cutie
2. "Amy Hit The Atmosphere" by Counting Crows
3. "Invalid Litter Dept." by At The Drive-In
4. "Suddenly Everything Has Changed (Moments of routine and boredom that cause you to daydream or reflect on the nature of reality sometimes with maddeningly melancholy results)" by The Flaming Lips
5. "Dinner At Eight In the Suburbs" by All-Time Quarterback
6. "Los Angeles, I'm Yours" by The Decemberists
7. "Why I Cry" by The Magnetic Fields

I tag Walter, Bee, Kirsten, Bonnie, Ashley Quack, Juishe, and Becca

I think I want to get back into the dating circuit.

So the play ended last night, and it was our best performance. Thanks to everyone who came out to see it, it really did mean a lot. Best quote of the night:

Mitch: "What the FUCK is an Ashley Quack?"

In other news, my friendship with her has never been stronger. I never talk with her anymore. Hopefully we'll see How to Succeed together. She has, for lack of a better term, fallen into oblivion. We didn't speak for a while, and now I learned she has a boyfriend. I wish she and I spoke more. None of them are the same person.

I wish I had more to write....oh well.

To start,I figured I'd answer a few of these....

What is my favorite color? red

-What is my favorite Macaulay Culkin movie? Home Alone 2: Lost In New York

-What is my favorite Cirque de Soleil cd? Alegria

-What is my favorite Maroon 5 song? Sunday Morning

-What is my favorite Mel Brooks movie? Blazing Saddles

-What 90's movie makes me feel warm inside when I watch it? Jurassic Park

-What is my favorite song by Norma Jean? "Memphis Will Be Laid To Waste"

-What is my favorite book(s) of the Bible? Revelation and Job

-What is my favorite song by The Bled? "Porcelain Hearts and Hammers For Teeth"

-What is my favorite Led Zeppelin song? the live version of "Bring It On Home"

-Who is my happy drug? Ashley Dawn Miskat

-What are my 2 favorite Disney Channel original movies? Brink and Johnny Tsunami

-What is my favorite Disney movie? Aladdin

-Who lists me as their hero on Myspace? Vic Plushko

Remember in Spider-Man 2 when Mary Jane kisses her fiancee upside down, knowing in your head that she was constantly trying to relive the moment with Peter? What would your reaction be if someone used that as a metaphor for all the relationships they've had since you?

"I don't see what's so complicated. I mean, it's pretty cut-and-paste. When I'm with one set of people I wear one set of clothes, and when I'm with another set of people I wear another set of clothes. 'Take off your preppy clothes'...well I like my fuckin' preppy clothes." - Ben Gibbard (on Avril Lavigne's "Complicated")

Dude. Fuck.

Go forth and watch "Kinsey" starring Liam Neeson and Laura Linney. There's a film that'll open your mind if not at least make you shit your pants. It's been a fuckin' Liam Neeson up in this bitch. First Les Miserables, then Love Actually (where the fuck is my fucking coat?) and now Kinsey. Bow down to Qui-Gon Jinn, children, it'll just make life easier.

I'll tell you one thing I don't miss about Coral Springs...the fact that all our friends hate each other. It's not like that up here. No, don't compare this to Stagedoor Syndrome, it's just...I don't know....ah, here's the word: refreshing.

....more to come, you bet your ass

lando

an inspirational lyric

Bullies are people who hate themselves
Abused at age six or molested at twelve
So they pick on others, isn't it odd?
Because their real quarrel is with God
Who's afraid of a bully?
Me. Not me.
For there are much better things to be frightened of
Like people of color and gay homo love
So stand up to the bullies
Stand tall and true
Just like Jesus stood up to those misguided Jews
Now who's afraid of a bully?
Not me. No, not me.
When you stand up to that bully
He'll flee! Oh yes he'll flee!
Just like the pathetic insecure cowardly loser he be.

7:48 pm

1. My favorite color is red.
2. I'm over the person I had feelings for this summer.
3. I think that the lyrics to Mr. Brightside are some of the worst I've ever heard.
4. I have way too much free time now that I'm in college.
5. The medication I've been taking has significantly increased my appetite.
6. I wish that someone in our group and I could become better friends.
7. I will most likely to move to New York after my undergrad.
8. At the age of 2 1/2 I could read, write, and speak English, Spanish and Hebrew.
9. My real mother and I don't have a good relationship at all.
10. Neither do my sister and I.
11. I hate talking about myself.
12. I am writing lyrics and music again and I love it.
13. I sometimes find myself thinking about the past and just saying, "Shit."
14. I believe in love above everything else.
15. I want to take care of my parents when they are older.
16. I wish I weren't so lazy.
17. I need to get back in shape.
18. I was a child prodigy, until my parents got divorced, and I stopping giving a rat's ass in school, just to spite my mother.
19. I consider Jonathan, Mike, Caleb, Gabe, Kurtis, Walter, Josh, Ben, and Tim my closest group of friends, even if it isn't mutual.
20. I love The Decemberists.

8:00 pm

I tag Danielle, Roxanna, Gabe, Bonnie, Raye, Becca, Greg, Shannon, Juishe, Katherine, Miskoff, and Jonathan

the art of drowning

I'm moving on. Hands washed. Mind clear. Onward, ho!

I've come to terms with the fact that the one particular song will never be finished. It's hard when most of it is lost and then you try to rewrite it minus the feelings you had when you started writing it. In some cases I could say I was better for it, but nothing great really came out of this. Things are the same as before, I just felt differently. I had a dream in which she she said three words to me, "Chemistry without feelings." Dreams come true. Baby, you're a lost....baby, you're a lost.....baby, you're a lost cause.

landorphanage

i've got a hunger twisting my stomach into knots

"My brain's repeating, 'If you have an impulse, LET IT OUT.' But they never make it past my mouth...... this is the sound of settling." - Ben Gibbard

I know exactly what he means. It happens to me almost every day. It's the reason that feelings aren't directly and concisely communicated from me to others, especially those whom I would have feelings for, and I end up settling for what ends up happening. It's one of the reasons I write. Music, lyrics, poetry, they say what my mouth cannot. And even then, most of the time, if I'm writing for/about/to someone, they don't see it anyway. Ba ba, ba ba........

I think I have narrowed it down to my three favorite straight plays: "The Bald Soprano" by Eugene Ionesco, "Closer" by Patrick Marber, and "Equus" by Peter Shaffer

new pics on myspace posted

Man, what a mood last night. Existentialism, my old friend, how have you been? Trying so hard to write, man, I hate writer's block. I keep having these dreams, too. Not exactly about how I feel, but just... I dunno. I'll complete this soon....

No they'll never catch me now.........

A thought...

The Downward Staircase

1. Girl ruins guy.
2. Guy is heartbroken.
3. Guy meets new girl.
4. Guy breaks new girl's heart
5. New guy likes new girl.
6. New girl likes new guy but doesn't want to involve herself, because she doesn't want to be hurt again.
7. Repeat Step 1.
8. History repeats itself.

Tis better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all.
